Sloughi & Kunst
I
have started to paint horses and dogs when I was a child. Dogs have
always been the true love of my life, we always had a dog in my
family. Then at a later stage I was captured by the beauty and fascination
of the Arabian Horse Breed and these Wonderful ''Sons of the Wind"
became the main subject in my painting production.
Eight years ago, I have started to be more and more interested in
Sighthounds also because an Italian Greyhound became the ''family
dog'' - All Sightounds breeds have a ''fascination'' of their own.
They are different from all other dog breeds and when You experience
life with them, it's almost impossible not to be captured by their
beauty and their intelligence and personality. My passion for Arabian
horses brought me to get in touch also with those Sighthounds more
related for their origin and cultural background, to the Arabian
horse breed. So, Sloughis and Salukis became another big passion
for me, a beautiful subject for my paintings and another interesting
subject for Researches and study. Like Arabian Horses, all Sighthound
breeds in particular Sloughis, are not easy subject to be portrayed
- their beauty is ''extreme'' and perfection is always very difficult
to be represented but through my paintings I try to express a tribute
of admiration for these wonderful creatures that from the ancients
of times came to us, almost unchanged, carrying on such an important
heritage of history and culture.
